Dans le magazine de la compagnie aérienne espagnol (numéro de juin 2009), 18 pages sont consacrées au tourisme golf dans le pays (à quand, la même visibilité en France ??).

On y apprend de nombreuses informations :

> Sur les 1,6 million de voyages de golf en Europe par an, plus d'un million convergent vers l'Espagne. Le marché britannique en représente 411.887, l'Allemagne 180.370 et les pays nordiques 100.664 - pas d'information par contre concernant les golfeurs français.

> Ces visites engendrent 1 milliard d'Euros de dépenses environ.

> En 1983, on pouvait dénombrer 83 parcours 18 trous dans toute la péninsule ibérique. Aujourd'hui, c'est 544 golfs qui sont référencés dont plus de 400 x 18 trous.

> En 1983, l'Espagne comptait 30.783 golfeurs contre plus de 340.000 aujourd'hui.

> Palmarès des régions golfiques : 1/ Andalousie avec 122 parcours - 2/ Catalogne, 71 - 3/ Région de Valence, 43 - 4 exquo/ Les Baléares et la région de Mucia avec 21 golfs.
